Infant Walkers are Still Not Safe

We see fewer and fewer baby walkers each year, but they're still out there and responsible for thousands of injured children each year. The most common injury was falling down stairs. Some of these injuries required hospitalization. They do not boost motor skills, as many believe (in fact there's some evidence they delay the development of walking), and they are dangerous.

Other activity centers (Exersaucers and the like) are fine, because they don't move. If your child has a walker with wheels, either stop using it, or remove the wheels to make it safer.
